Man looking out window

With businesses placing increased focus on core activities and strengths, it makes sound business sense to leverage skills of the IT workforce in ways that will maximize a return on IT investments. Today companies may adopt an approach by entrusting day to day management and support of the entire IT service function to a strategic partner with proven skills and expertise to deliver high availability, scalability and affordability of computer services throughout the business.

Trend Consulting Services, Inc. has been providing practical IT solutions since 1978. We have evolved as a company over these 30+ years. Through the early 90s we were relevant and recognized by delivering consulting services to many of Northeast Ohio’s premier corporations. Trend built significant expertise by helping corporations, including, Applied Industrial Technologies, British Petroleum/Amoco, Brush Wellman, Enpro Industries (formerly BF Goodrich), Federal Express, Ferro Corporation, Invacare, Lubrizol, Noveon, Standard Parking, Third Federal, complete a wide range of technology projects.

In the mid 1990s Trend had the opportunity to be one of the first companies in the Midwest to offer remote managed services through a network operations center (NOC). Many large corporations engaged us for services needed to make capital investments in network operations centers to monitor computer networks that were becoming more complex and distributed across the globe. Trend saw the opportunity to make this capital investment on behalf of large corporations and build the Trend NOC. Trend’s NOC went ‘live’ in 1998 and offered managed services for any hardware device accessible on a network.

Trend anticipated the technology market shift as enterprise class tools emerged and large companies began to manage this capability internally. Trend’s focus on the middle and emerging market set the course for our current service offerings. We have leveraged our 30 years of technology expertise, project strategy, business acumen, world-class toolkit and service delivery processes to offer a market leading managed services solution.

Today, Trend strategically manages the entire IT service function for mid-market clients in the for profit and not-for-profit sectors. We generally define mid-market clients as those with approximately 1,000 employees and fewer. Trend has developed a deep understanding and perspective of the mid-market client’s business environment and challenges. The challenges associated with leading and managing mid-market organizations are complex and ever-changing. Trend is helping these organizations by delivering practical business solutions, innovative, yet practical technologies, and strategic thinking.
